Love goes by haps: Peer Evaluation of Johnny Allred's Blog

This Post is my peer evaluation of Johnny Allreds Blog labeled: Blog-O-Shakespeare. Johnny’s blog shows an interest in Shakespearean vernacular. Johnny’s thesis for his hub post is in regards to the "dynamicism" that Shakespeare introduced to English that is spurred on by popular media but contemporary views of these changes are not optimistic.

I. Posts
A. Quantity: It appears that Johnny is terribly behind in his quantity of posts. (I see 3 blog posts in April and 4 in March, Please email me if I missed something Welcker7777@gmail.com)
B. Content
-Variety: Johnny has much verity of exploratory posts that’s very interesting and entertaining but is lacking in number of expository posts as of March.
-Media: Media in his blog, previous to March was very substantial. The majority of his posts were regarding images, videos and other media however after mid-terms he only had one very interesting blog on Shakespeare and NCAA basketball.  He does use eye catching illustrations with each blog but no image is evaluated.
-Analysis: He has very few blogs which analyze primary texts. I didn’t see one after February. He did a great deal of media analysis previous to March but none after.
C. Format
-Titles: The titles are specific but unoriginal for the most part. I didn’t notice any jump breaks. He is good about tagging in the tree blogs that he does tag. He does have labels in his blog which is helpful.
II. Research
A. Thematic Focus: His blog does have a clear theme that is reflected in the hub post.
B. Thesis & Cohesion: He does a great job with his thesis and cohesion. He takes a stance that contemporary’s opinions of Shakespeare’s dynamic changes to the English language are not favorable.
C. Sources: No sign of a source’s page
III. Personal & Social
A. Author identity: He does have an “about me” on his side bar with a picture. The blog does well with the connections he does have to Shakespeare (I.E. blog on the word Jaded). The design of the blog doesn’t reflect the personality of the author.
B. Documentation of Process: He is good about documenting his process of inquiry throughout his blog.
-Interactions: He has one blog asking for what people thought about what would Shakespeare “be thinking if he were around today (in regards to how dynamic English is)?” and he got a good response however it appears that he didn’t respond back to anyone that responded to him.
IV. Design: His Blog lacks design and has no widgets or links. It appears that very little effort has been put into it.
